Standards & transparency

Methodology

Our goal is evidence-first civic accountability. We distinguish facts, inferences, and opinions and avoid criminal allegations without official proof.

How We Classify Statements

Confirmed fact

Supported by official records, parliamentary transcripts, court filings, or reputable mainstream reporting.

Inference / interpretation

A reasoned conclusion drawn from facts, clearly labeled as interpretation.

Opinion / remedy

Our editorial judgment about what standards or actions are appropriate (e.g., divestment, recusal, disclosure).

What We Do Not Claim

  • We do not claim criminal conduct absent official evidence and proceedings.
  • We do not state motive as fact unless documented.
  • We do not publish rumors or unverified accusations.

Source Hierarchy

  1. Official government documents / legislation / committee evidence / ethics disclosures
  2. Reputable mainstream reporting
  3. Commentary and advocacy sources (used cautiously and labeled)

Corrections Policy

If a factual error is identified and supported by evidence, we will correct it promptly and note the update date on the relevant page.

Right of Reply

Public officials or institutions may submit clarifications. We may publish or summarize responses subject to editorial standards and relevance.
